Rainbow Trout
Flies Used: Red Atomic Worm #8 and Beaded Prince Nymph #12
Other Details: Fished a number off spots along the West Entrance Road. The most productive method was indicator nymphing along with the occasional switch to streamers.

Brown Trout
Flies: Olive Stimulator #12 and Beaded Prince Nymph #16.
Other Details: This was my first official trip with the guys. I fished all day (11.5 hours) with my Dad, PaPa, and Uncle Sean. I fished a dry/dropper and caught 4 Brown trout.

Caught Browns and Rainbows in the 6" to 12" range.
Flies: #10 Rubber Legged Stimulator #14 Tan Elk Hair Caddis, and #16 BH Dark Lord Dropper.
Other Details: Fished for a few hours in the morning. I caught 9 fish on this beautiful morning. Fished the afternoon after Biscuit Basin from about 5pm to 7pm. Very productive. Caught 9 in the afternoon. Found the remains of bison along the river, obviously consumed by bear or wolves.

Caught 10" to 12" Browns and Brookies
Flies: #10 Rubber Legged Stimulator, #12 Parachute Adams, #14 Elk Hair Caddis, #16 Green BH Pulsating Caddis.
Other Details: Fished Gibbon near Beryl Geyser and then later we fished below the Virginia Cascades.

Caught 11 Rainbows up to 21"
Flies Used: Beaded Prince Nymph #10 and #12; Red Atomic Worm #8.
Other Details: Places to fish the Madison in Yellowstone Nat'l Park should include the Madison Junction campground area, a spot called Barnes #1 and #2 (just inside the west entrance, and turnouts along the West Entrance road.

Flies Used: Beaded Prince Nymph #10; Atomic Worm #8; Beaded Micro Mayfly #18; RS2 #20; Elk Hair Caddis (tan and black) #12; Blue Wing Olive #20.
Other Details: Fished just upriver from the Madison Junction, Midway Geyser, Biscuit Basin, and along Firehole Canyon Drive.

Flies: PMD 14, Foam ants 16; Stimulators 10, 12; Pheasant Tails 14, 16; Hares Ear; Rubber legs.
Other Details: Fished near Idaho Falls, ID floating Conant to Heise. Heise to Lorenzo Fishing the riffles.

Fished above Gibbon Falls along the road and near dusk at Virginia Cascades below the cascades. Mosquitoes drove us off the water.
